Be proud of YOU, and where you COME FROM!

Did you see the Olympics the last few weeks in London? Did you see the pride almost everyone displayed for their home country? Even if it was not where they were born, they celebrated where they lived.

I see a lot of people online hide where they are from. They have weird combinations of city, state, and country to say that they are in the US. They think that people won’t like them as much or trust them if they put their true home country and location.

There are some people who have prejudices. There are some people who have preferences. However, be who you genuinely are and lots of people will accept you. There are so many millions of people online. NOBODY can be liked by everyone!

I am a person who always loves to make friends from other cultures and other countries. I have been in international ministries for all of my adult life. Yes, I have been burned by trusting people online, and people locally. I have met many more amazing people for every one that disappointed me.

We are living in an amazing time where we have instant communication through the internet.

Be proud of your culture. Be proud of your home. Be proud of yourself!
